Alaia, the founder of Salt & Sol, is a licensed esthetician in the states of California and Hawaii, as well as a certified holistic health coach, yoga teacher and Reiki 1 certified. In her earlier years, she spent countless hours surfing in the ocean, which led to a lifelong journey of learning to age gracefully in the sun. The integrative approach to skin was fueled by her frustration behind the Western way of strong active ingredients such as daily use of retinol, which only made her skin issues worse.
Her journey of exploring what ingredients and rituals support healthy skin while playing in the salt and sun inspired the creation of
